PTTEP Phet S1 Scholarship Project
The PTTEP Phet S1 scholarship is a long-term scholarship awarded to underprivileged high-school students in S1 operations area who have passed the entrance examination to enroll in public universities but whose families cannot afford the Tuition fee. In order to provide support to these underprivileged students and to invest in human resources development, PTTEP therefore initiated the PTTEP Petch S1 Scholarship Project in 2002.

The PTTEP Petch S1 scholarship which includes tuition fees for the Undergraduate Program and living allowances are given to underprivileged high-school students in Kamphaengphet, Phitsanulok, and Sukhothai Provinces at 10 scholarships per year. Since 2002, the scholarships have been granted to 158 students. To date, 116 students have accomplished Bachelor's Degree whereas 42 students are studying. Currently, 4 scholars under this project are employed at PTTEP.
PTTEP has carried out analysis on Social Return on Investment (SROI) of this project by measuring the social impact of the program with the financial quantification calculation (monetization). This method is intended to measure the value of the financial impact of the program that compares to the value of the impact to the cost of the program that has been invested into. It appears that the value of the SROI ratio is 3.64:1.
