To improve the efficiency of petroleum exploration and production operations comprehensively, encompassing all business activities both in principal and supporting units, through the adoption of digital technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in our work processes.

To integrate digital technology enables the Company to analyze data and make decisions rapidly and accurately, which helps in reducing operational time and resources. This approach also increases business opportunities, contributing to the organization's growth and sustainability.

Management Approach

PTTEP has continuously transformed the organization and work processes, with frequent reviews to ensure timeliness since 2019. To elevate into a digital-driven organization, the Company has initiated the DigitalX project, which outlines 3 main areas of focus (3X) as follows:

Apply digital technology continuously to enhance work efficiency and competitiveness through various digital projects that encompass all function groups within the petroleum exploration and production value chain. This includes both core production lines and support functions. AI and machine learning technologies were deployed to enable faster and precise data analysis across the business value chain. PTTEP currently has over 65 digital solutions that incorporate the aforementioned digital technologies at various levels, centralized on the EP Digital Platform. A reliable and standardized data foundation integration was established. Furthermore, a modern Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system was introduced to meet the organization's resource management needs in all dimensions, under proactive cybersecurity measures to safeguard organizational data and systems against potential cyber threats.

Enhance digital skills across the organization to enhance the capabilities of both executives and employees through the understanding and application of essential digital tools. This includes training and empowering employees to utilize low-code/no-code tools, enabling them to create their own digital solutions from essential to literacy to advanced levels in areas such as Generative AI, Automation, Data Analytics, and Visualization. This approach empowers employees to independently create digital solutions for their work without relying on the development from the central units. This process not only accelerates the introduction of new innovations but also promotes problem-solving and timely responses to user needs. This improvement in work processes includes reducing redundant tasks, shortening work time, and increasing efficiency. When everyone in the organization is fully equipped with the necessary skills, the organization is enabled to drive innovation and creativity comprehensively and continuously across all functions.

Develop digital ecosystem as a crucial strategy to drive transformation and strengthen the organization sustainably in an era of rapid digital technology evolution. The Company starts by developing digital leadership equipped with modern vision and knowledge to effectively steer the organization through changes and respond swiftly to new challenges. Simultaneously, the establishment of an Innovation Incubation Center serves as a space for experimenting and developing creative ideas that can be promptly transformed into digital solutions, thereby pushing the organization to adopt new technologies in work processes timely. Setting clear guidelines and governance for digital solution data management is vital for creating transparency and credibility in data management, reducing risks, and enhancing operational efficiency. Additionally, fostering a digital excellence community within the organization encourages knowledge and experience exchange among personnel, creating a strong network for future innovation development. Furthermore, establishing a digital organizational culture that emphasizes continuous learning and adaptation, while encouraging employees to participate in innovation activities both internal and external digital innovation activities, expands their horizons and stimulates inspiration.
