Scholarship for PTTEP Recruitment Project
PTTEP initiated the Scholarships for PTTEP Recruitment Project to uplift Thailand’s professional petroleum exploration and production fields. Scholarships have been extended to second-year university students pursuing degrees in petroleum engineering or geology and showing GPA above 3.00. They are entitled to scholarships until graduation and are obligated to apply for a job at PTTEP. Since the start of this program, PTTEP has recruited 108 recipients and 35 are studying.
Since 2008, PTTEP has collaborated with the Civil Service Commission’s cooperation in recruiting high-school students for the undergraduate-degree study in petroleum geoscience and petroleum engineering in the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada. The scholarships go to 4 students a year. To date, 33 recipients have been recruited.
PTTEP has carried out analysis on Social Return on Investment (SROI) of this project by measuring the social impact of the program with the financial quantification calculation (monetization). This method is intended to measure the value of the financial impact of the program that compares to the value of the impact to the cost of the program that has been invested into. It appears that the value of the SROI ratio is 3.19 : 1.
